It's not a 10-10-62, it's apathy

As I listened to Paul Jones and Eric Smith wrap up the game last night, I heard Jones reasoning with the blowout as he described it as a possible 10-10-62 (10 games you win no matter what, 10 games you get blown out no matter what, and 62 normal games). I would have agreed with Jonesy if this had been earlier in the season, but it's becoming an all too familiar tune now.

Trailing the Knicks 42-22 after the 1st quarter, Toronto never put up much of a fight after that. With the Raptors scrambling on defense, rotating and rotating sequence after sequence, the Knicks knocked down three's left, right, and center (literally).

Nate Robinson came off the bench and was a huge spark to the already hot start for the Knicks, and Wilson Chandler had a career night scoring 32 points.

As I sat there watching, I was trying to figure out what is wrong with this squad, and I could only come up with one word, apathy. It seems as though everytime this team falls behind, they just start to play stupid basketball. Dashing up shot after shot, not moving the ball, stagnant offence, and I could go on.

I agree with Norm Rumack, this team needs a major overhaul. This "core" is not getting, they're too soft, they don't play smart basketball, and it's just not working.

I just hope that BC will get it before it's too late. Before the fans become apathetic.
